Dr. Blakely Pond believes great dental care begins with treating every patient like family. She iscommitted to providing compassionate, comprehensive dental care while building lastingrelationships founded on trust, open communication, and personalized treatment planning. Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Dr. Pond discovered her passion for dentistry in 2012 while volunteering at free dental clinics and serving on a dental mission trip to Mexico. Experiencing the life-changing impact of dental care inspired her to pursue a career as a dentist, dedicated to improving the health and confidence of others. Dr. Pond earned her bachelor’s degree from East Tennessee State University in 2016 before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2020. She then proudly served as a dental officer in the United States Navy for more than five years. While in the Navy, Dr. Pond completed a General Practice Residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in 2021, where she received advanced training in comprehensive dentistry and the management of complex dental cases. She then served as the sole dentist aboard the USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) for three and a half years, providing dental care to Sailors and Marines during one deployment and two additional overseas missions. She next served with 2nd Dental Battalion at Camp Lejeune before transitioning to private practice, where she continues to enjoy caring for patients of all ages. Committed to lifelong learning and professional service, Dr. Pond serves on the leadership teams of two local dental societies and is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association. She continually pursues advanced education to provide her patients with modern, evidence-based care. When she’s away from the office, Dr. Pond enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Sean, and their dog, Lani. Together they enjoy traveling, kayaking, relaxing at Atlantic Beach, live music, eating at their favorite local restaurants, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams.
